Now, we finally see the first trailer for the revival, which debuted during the network’s “Back to the 90’s panel” at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
Starring original host Kirk Fogg, Isabela Moner, Colin Critchley, and Jet Jurgensmeyer, The Legends movie follows three siblings who embark on their own adventure while taking a jungle tour. They find themselves competing in a series of obstacles to stay alive. And yes, fans can expect to see the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, Steps of Knowledge, red jaguar, silver snakes, and best of all, Dee Bradley Baker, the original voice of the giant stone head Olmec, will return to voice the character in the movie!
E News recently sat down with Kirk Fogg (former host of Legends tv show) for an exclusive interview seen below. Kirk talks about the new movie and reveals why he thinks the show should get a full reboot.
Fogg admitted “I came in with some apprehension” when he was first pitched the idea of a movie. However, the script changed his mind. “When they sent me the script, I was like, ‘Alright, somebody who liked the show wrote the movie,’ ” he said. “All the iconic stuff’s inside of there.“
Hidden Temple isn’t the only beloved ’90s TV series being revived by Nickelodeon, as the network launched a programming block dedicated to shows from the decade on TeenNick, and is making a new Hey Arnold movie. The first look at the Hey Arnold movie, called “Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie“, was also unveiled at Comic-Con, and featured Arnold, Gerald, Helga, Grandpa, Phoebe and Abner. The Hey Arnold movie is due out in 2017.
Legends of the Hidden Temple will air this November on Nickelodeon.
