Universal Orlando Closing NASCAR Sports Grille Restaurant At CityWalk
Universal Orlando’s CityWalk landscape continues to be changing… Universal closed some of their long running restaurants to make way for new ones. Some of the new additions include Red Oven Pizza Bakery; Vivo Italian Kitchen; Antojitos, a Mexican place that took over the Latin Quarter space; Hot Dog Hall of Fame; a larger Starbucks location; and the Bread Box. The Cowfish, a small burger-and-sushi chain based in North Carolina, is also expected to open this year.
The Nascar Sports Grille has been a fan favorite at Universal’s CityWalk since the entertainment complex opened in 1999. Well, the staple will close it’s doors on Saturday, November 1st.
Universal Orlando employees recently were told of the closing, but no replacement has been announced.
The restaurant “has been a big part of helping CityWalk grow and establish itself as an entertainment destination,” Universal Orlando spokesman Tom Schroder said Sunday. “This change is part of our ongoing commitment to bring new entertainment experiences to CityWalk.”
Universal always does a great job with their resturant revamping including some of their own creations! We only expect the best to replace The Nascar Grille.
Stay tuned as we’re bound to get an announcement soon from Universal Orlando of what will be taking the place of NASCAR Sports Grille.
