They’re Rollin’ In Like Thunder – Cedar Point Releases Third Mean Streak Teaser
As most of you already know, Cedar Point’s Mean Streak has been closed since September for a major re-design. There’s been a lot of speculation about the ride, but very little info confirmed by the park.
Yesterday, Cedar Point dropped a third Mean Streak teaser video via Twitter. This new video ends with the phrase “They’re Rollin’ in like Thunder“. So now between the three videos, we have:
- They’re Coming (April 1)
- They’re Wild and Unruly (June 2)
- They’re Rollin’ in Like Thunder (July 5)
It worth noting that the last teaser video was 18 seconds long causing speculation that it might be a clue that the new ride will open in 2018. This third video though, was extended to 19 seconds. There’s quite a bit of dead black space at the end to make the teaser 19 seconds on purpose. Could that mean that the new ride has been delayed to 2019? Or maybe it’s a clue as to when it will be officially announced. Could it be in 19 days, or maybe July 19 or August 19? In case you don’t have twitter, we have the teaser video embedded below 🙂

Back in March, a twitter account popped up named “Mean Streak Updates“. Many suspected Cedar Point or their pr team to be behind the account. Although, the accounts’ origin never surfaced, it has been fun to follow along. It was getting some regular updates for a few months, but has lost steam as no new content has been posted since May 2nd — just a few days before the park opened for the 2017 season.
Other than the three teaser videos, no official updates have been made about the former Mean Streak. We have however posted a few updates of the construction process while visiting the park.
The new layout features so many new inversions plus some really awesome new airtime hills!
As we mentioned before, we expect an over-haul of Frontier Town and the Frontier Town Trail starting towards the end of the 2017 season. This make-over could create some spectacular new views of the ride and the park. But don’t get too excited just yet, there’s still no official word on the Frontier Town make-over.
Are you excited to see what’s in store for the former Mean Streak? What’s your thoughts on Frontier Town? Let us know on our socials! For tickets and more information, visit the official Cedar Point website.
