Four roller coasters, three dark rides, four thrill rides, and three water attractions are among the additions.
Highlights Announced:
Six Flags Fiesta Texas – San Antonio, TX:
Thunder Rapids Water Coaster will debut as North America’s first rocket blast water coaster. We’re so excited for this unique combination of water slide and roller coaster that will blast riders uphill five times and down four spiraling flying sauces turns and one breathtaking dive turn. The ride also features an advanced loading system that allows riders to board their tubes at ground level, which means no carrying your tube up the stairs!
Six Flags Magic Mountain – Los Angeles, CA:
Metropolis is in trouble and only you can save it! Justice League: Battle for Metropolis is a new multisensory dark ride that puts riders in the DC Comic universe with all of their favorite characters. Riders can join the Justice League Reserve Team in this unique gaming experience.
Six Flags New England – Western Massachusetts:
The Thrill Capital of New England, is introducing The Joker, a free flying 4D coaster. The coaster will feature 2 beyond vertical drops and a 120 foot lift hill. Each ride is different, as the seats flip riders anywhere from 4-8 times throughout the ride depending on the riders weight.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom – San Francisco / Sacremento, CA:
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will be paying tribute to one of DC Comic’s iconic female superheroes, Wonder Woman! Guests will experience a sense of weightlessness on WONDER WOMAN: Lasso of Truth as they soar to heights reaching 147 feet at up to 70 mph on this giant pendulum.
Six Flags Over Georgia – Atlanta, GA:
Six Flags Over Georgia will be adding Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. This 4D dark ride lets riders compete against their friends and family to see who can use their stun blaster to shoot the most targets and outsmart Lex Luther and The Joker. Recently named Best New Product, the ride features one of the world’s first virtual vertical loops.
Six Flags Great Escape – Lake George, NY:
In 2017, guests will be able to twist and turn their way down Bonzai Pipelines, a pair of twisting and turning body slides at Six Flags Great Escape. The slides are perched 30 feet in the air and though each slide offers a unique ride experience, both slides offer nearly 300 feet of pure splashing adrenaline!
Six Flags St. Louis – St. Louis, MO:
Prepare yourself for this unique flat ride! Spinsanity will send riders spinning both clockwise and counterclockwise while arcing back and forth on a pipe track. Guests sit on motorcycle-style seats as they rotate at 14 revolutions per minute. You might need some Dramamine for this epic thrill!
Six Flags Over Texas – Arlington, TX:
At Six Flags Over Texas, riders will experience leaps and dives on The Joker. The 4D free-flying coaster features winged seats leaving riders with no track above or below as they tumble from one level of track to the next.
Six Flags Great Adventure – Jackson, NJ:
The world’s largest theme park, is gearing up for the 2017 season with the addition of the amusement park association’s 2015 Best New Product, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. Six Flags Great America – Chicago, IL:
Located near Chicago, Great America is proud to announce the addition of The Joker, a 4D free flying coaster. The winged cars seat up to 8 people and have face to face seating. As you dip and dive through 2 more than vertical drops, the cars also rotate. The weight of the train effects how you’ll rotate so each ride will be a different experience!
