Nickelodeon Universe Removing Classic Ride for “new exciting attraction”
This weekend marks the end of an era at the Mall of America. A classic attraction at Nickelodeon Universe is closing Sunday to make room for an all new attraction.
Jimmy Neutron’s Atomic Collider will entertain it’s final riders on Sunday before permanently closing. The ride spun riders horizontally and vertically in order to induce several “near-misses” between ride vehicles. It’s described as “like The Scrambler, but on steroids“, The ride, a 1992 Zierer Hexentanz, originally opened with the park as Treetop Tumbler.
In regards to what will replace the classic ride, the park is remaining silent. The park has only stated that an “exciting new attraction” would be announced by the end of the week.
