New Brewhouse Restaurant And More Coming to Kings Island
In 2019, Kings Island will open a new restaurant in the Rivertown area of the park.
The Miami River Brewhouse will be located in the former Reds Hall of Fame Grille directly across from Mystic Timbers and feature beers from local breweries as well as appetizers, salads, gourmet sandwiches, and premium burgers. The menu, personally crafted by Kings Island’s Executive Chef, James Major, will include:
- Pull Apart Bread – cheddar, garlic butter, scallions with beer mustard and Sri-Rancha (appetizer)
- That’s One Big Pretzel – Bavarian twist with bacon jam and beer cheese (appetizer)
- Texas Bahn Mi – smoked beef, cucumber, carrot, cilantro with Sri-Mayo served on French bread
- London’s Bridge – fried cod, cheese, tartar sauce served with super slaw
- Big Bacon Burger – a double patty burger with Havarti cheese, candied onion, bacon jam and sliced bacon
- Impossible Burger – vegan burger with herb mustard, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and onion
“In 2018 we opened Coney Bar B Que, featuring ribs, pulled pork, rotisserie chicken and other barbecue favorites,” Kings Island’s Executive Chef James Major said. “This season, with the addition of Miami River Brewhouse, we’re continuing to build on a dining experience that guests will talk about long after their visit to Kings Island.”

Passholders can rejoice as Miami River Brewhouse will be included in the park’s dining plans!
A new restaurant isn’t the only thing new at Island in 2019. International Street is getting a major renovation including the parks famed Royal Fountain – giving guests the opportunity to get closer to the fountain than ever before. Expect it to look more along the lines of how it did back in the 1970’s.
Along with the Royal Fountain update, the park is installing more than 130,000 new pavers, improving each building facade and enhancing the landscaping.
An extended bandstand stage in front of the Eiffel Tower is also included in the International Street renovation – allowing for larger celebrations and performances.
AND THAT’S NOT ALL! When the park opens its gates in 2019, guests will also be able to take a ride on the new Kings Mills Antique Autos ride. After a 14 year hiatus, the Antique cars are back! The new version of the classic vehicles will be a two-thirds scale of the 1904 Model T. The track is located in Coney Mall across from the 1950’s cafe.
The park has yet to release an official video of the ride, but we did use the rides blueprints to create our own mock up. Take a ride below and let us know what you think! Oh, and check out the signage along the route, number five is alive!
During Kings Island’s annual Halloween Haunt event, we caught a sneak peek of ol’ number five rolling through the Coney Mall area of the park.
Kings Island opens for the 2019 season on April 20 celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Beast wooden roller coaster. For tickets and more information, visit the official Kings Island website by clicking here.
