Last Guests Check Out Of Disney California Adventure’s Tower Of Terror
On Monday, guests from all over flocked to Disney California Adventure to take their last drop on Tower of Terror. The ride is receiving a makeover and will return this summer as Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission Breakout! The new ride will feature characters from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and will be the first Marvel-themed ride at the Disneyland Resort. Guests will find themselves face-to-face with the Collector, Tanaleer Tavin as they are recruited to help Rocket and the other Guardians escape from the Collector’s clutches.
The Tower of Terror line stretched three hours as people flocked to the park to say goodbye to the beloved ride. Not even guests with fast passes could get in a quick drop. People also wanted to get their last souvenirs to remember the iconic ride and the line for a Tower of Terror pressed penny stretched on for thirty minutes! Many are sad to see the ride go as it has become a staple to Hollywood Land in the park. People took to Twitter to say their goodbyes-posting pictures and videos of the iconic scenes from the tower as well. Fear not! You may not be able to check in to the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disneyland, but its sister attraction in Orlando is still taking guests!
While it’s always sad to see a Disney attraction close for good, especially Tower of Terror, many guests are excited to experience Disneyland’s first Marvel themed ride and to step into the world of Guardians of the Galaxy. The ride’s opening will coincide with the premier of the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie this summer!
