Hyper Coaster Coming To Hersheypark For 2020 Season
As we reported earlier, Hersheypark is in the midst of a large expansion. Documents for the new 23 acre expansion include a re-design of the park entrance as well as new rides. Paperwork filed with the FAA confirms one of the new rides is indeed a roller coaster.
The new coaster is slated to stand 220 feet tall, which would make it the largest in the state. It is also worth pointing out, that this will be the third coaster rumored to be built in 2020 that is over 200 feet tall, following the hyper at California’s Great America and Project 2020 at Kings Island
From the scarce information available, we generated our prediction of what the new coaster may look like. But, remember, documents do not always mean it will happen, so until it is officially announced by the park, take it with a grain of salt…
Hersheypark totals about 121 acres, including the 11-acre ZooAmerica. For the 2018 season, Hersheypark added two new water rides, Whitecap Racer and Breakers Edge to the Boardwalk section of the park.
