Cedar Point Announces Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island
Ever since yesterday’s cryptic post by Cedar Point, enthusiasts were wondering what the park was getting in 2019. Today, Cedar Point revealed their latest addition for the upcoming season.
The park announced Dinosaurs Alive will be closing on Labor Day. It’s replacement, Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island, will open in 2019.
The announcement was made by means of a video uploaded to the park’s social media pages.
The new attraction is still somewhat of a mystery. The description of the attraction states:
“Grab your map and prepare for a minute-by-minute real-life adventure, where you and others are challenged, questioned and pushed to the limits in both brain and brute power. Be immersed in interactive encounters with the island inhabitants, push yourself with physically active challenges that test your resourcefulness and fortitude! It’s your job to discover and uncover all that you can; to solve the mystery surrounding the Forbidden Frontier, and return to tell the tale. Every ending is different and determined by you and the secrets you unlock!
The secrets of the Forbidden Frontier will be revealed as we unlock the adventure map, so come back to this page for updates and new surprises. The Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island opens Summer, 2019.”
Tony Clark, Cedar Point’s Director of Communications tweeted about the new addition: “it’s a guarantee you will have more questions than answers, and that’s the fun of it. Cedar Point continues to evolve each year, and I hope you’re just as excited about that as I am!”
This new addition is the latest addition to the park following the opening of Steel Vengeance, the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest hybrid coaster.
