Halloween Horror Nights LITE Could Be Coming To Universal Orlando

Even though Halloween Horror Nights 2020 has officially been cancelled, there are rumors swirling about that the houses themselves will open during October.

Recently, a series of permits have come to light for Universal Orlando on the City of Orlando’s website. While these permits could amount to nothing (permits are granted all the time and nothing ever comes to light), it is intriguing that Universal never cancelled their application. Here is a run down of the projects all related to HHN2020:

• Project B79 Alteration
  • Permits Submitted : Building, Fire, and Electrical
  • Issued Date: 04/21/2020
  • Expiration Date: 02/22/2021
  • Finaled Date: 08/25/2020
• Project ST1 Alteration
  • Permits Submitted : Building, Fire, and Electrical
  • Issued Date: 03/03/2020
  • Expiration Date: 03/01/2021

According to these six sets of permits, there are 6 HHN projects that were being planned during the initial onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. With two of the projects not receiving issued dates for the final inspection, it is likely that all but those two houses will open in some fashion for 2020. It’ll likely be limited entry or daytime walk through’s as the traditional HHN night event has been totally canceled.
