Dorney Park To Host Winter Chill Out Behind-The-Scenes Event
As Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom prepares to debut its new “Iron Menace” roller coaster, the park is on the brink of creating history, offering an unparalleled experience for both visitors and roller coaster enthusiasts.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 16, as Dorney Park hosts its inaugural Winter Chill Out event — a fundraising initiative benefiting Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.
Much like the event of the sane name at sister park Cedar Point, the limited ticket event offers a rare opportunity to go on a guided tour where you’ll walk the park, see behind-the-scenes areas, and be the first to get up-close with Iron Menace, the Northeast’s first dive roller coaster, opening in 2024.
Tickets are $60 (+ taxes and fees) and parking is included. Only individuals over 18 years of age are allowed to participate. 100% of the proceeds from this charitable event benefits Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, helping expand services, fund important research, and help kids cope when they are sick.
Under the banner of Dorney Park Cares, the park’s philanthropic arm, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom remains steadfast in its commitment to improving the lives of local children and families. Collaborating with Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, both organizations are dedicated to raising funds to advance the well-being and care of children in the region.
Jessica Naderman, Vice President and General Manager of Dorney Park, emphasized the park’s altruistic mission: “Iron Menace is a massive investment and an amazing roller coaster, but it’s not the only story we wish to tell in 2024. This year, more than any in the park’s storied history, we are committed to giving back.” She continued, “Winter Chill Out will be the first of many charitable events held at Dorney Park this calendar year and we can’t think of a better recipient of the proceeds from this event than Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.”
Anne Baum, president of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, expressed gratitude for the collaboration: “We are honored to partner with Dorney Park through this exciting event as they bring together the community in anticipation of the Iron Menace roller coaster.” She added, “We are thrilled to be the beneficiary of Dorney Park’s inspiring efforts which will support local patients and families and help us deliver exceptional care.”
Season Passes will not be valid on March 16, 2024 to visit the park or utilize parking during this event. This is a ticketed event and tickets are EXTREMELY LIMITED. You must have a Winter Chill Out event ticket for March 16, 2024 to enter.
