Adventureland to Introduce Phoenix In 2019

In the last few years, Adventureland in Iowa has undergone a massive expansion. In 2014, the park added Storm Chaser, Iowa’s tallest ride. In 2016, they introduced the highly regarded Monster, an Infinity Coaster from Gerstlauer. In June of 2019, the park will introduce their sixth coaster, The Phoenix!

Manufactured by Maurer Rides from Germany, this new addition will reach speeds up to 40mph, heights of over 50 feet and riders will reach a new level of spin-sanity as the cars rotate a full 360 degrees! The new ride will have a price tag of approximately $6 million.

The Phoenix will “Rise from the Ashes” at the end of the main Boulevard, in the space where the Super Screamer stood until 1999, and the Inverter was located until 2017. Site work is underway and construction of the ride is slated to begin in February. The Phoenix is scheduled to open to Adventureland guests in June, 2019!
