A Look Inside The New Fast And Furious Supercharged Gift Shop At Universal Orlando
You’ve seen the movies. You’ve seen the cars. And soon, you’ll be able to live it at Universal Orlando! One of the most successful film franchises of all-time will soon become one of Universal Orlando Resort‘s most action-packed ride experiences!
Buckle your seatbelts, Fast & Furious: Supercharged is opening soon at Universal Studios Florida. You’ll feel like part of the “Fast Family” as you embark on a thrilling new Fast & Furious adventure that will put you right in the middle of the action. Let’s Go!
Today, we took a stroll through the new gift shop aka the Custom Gear Shop. So much was added, check out all the new cars out front!
The store is located in the original queue/entrance area of the former Disaster attraction. As with most Universal attractions, the gift shop will also serve as the exit of the ride.
Some of the famed cars from the Fast and Furious movies are now parked outside!
The inside of the new gift shop is themed like a very detailed garage complete with shop lights and tool boxes for clothing stands. Above the merch racks are custom car parts to complete the garage feel.
There’s also iconic images spread throughout the gear shop from various Fast and Furious movies. As a car buff, the one below holds a special place in our heart as it’s a classic shot from the first film, “The Fast And The Furious” (2001).
We found t-shirts, tank tops, shot glasses, coffee mugs, wall posters, signs, pins, jewelry, action figures, car decals, license plates, and even blinged out swag for girls too!
There’s an entire area dedicated to model cars from the films. You can build your own custom car from a selection of parts as seen below at the “Build Your Car Station”. Not only can you build your own custom car, you can purchase model cars that were seen in the films. Super fans we bumped into are already saying some of the cars for sale are rare and will likely only be available for a short time before they sell out. So, if there’s a special car you would like to have on your display shelf, better scoop it up quick!
And of course, no visit to the Fast and Furious gift shop debut is complete without a Vin Diesel selfie!
Fans can now get a photo with Vin Diesel each and every visit!
Soon, Universal Orlando’s newest attraction, Fast & Furious Supercharged, will race into Universal Studios Florida and bring one of the world’s hottest film franchises to life in a whole new way. Guests will have the opportunity to actually live the excitement they’ve seen on the big screen in a high-octane ride experience where they will become part of the “Fast family”. Fast & Furious Supercharged will be the only place where you can see (and take photos with) 15 supercharged Fast & Furious cars – many of them driven by some of your favorite Fast family members. Each vehicle, including Dom’s iconic Dodge Charger and Letty’s Turbo Truck, has been crafted by Dennis McCarthy, the man behind the cars for the Fast & Furious films.
The queue line will be themed as if you are walking right through underground headquarters of the “Fast Family” with vehicles from various Fast films. Guests will be immersed in the ultimate Fast & Furious experience as hit songs and sounds from memorable scenes in the series fill the rooms. You make your way through familiar places inspired by the films, like the Family Room – complete with photos of the Fast family. Plus, Tej’s high-tech War Room.
Once the ride is open, guests will be able to select a time to ride Fast & Furious Supercharged via the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App or at kiosks located near the attraction entrance. This is the same system used on the Jimmy Fallon Ride that opened last year, just around the corner. While you wait for your ride time, you can enjoy other experiences throughout Universal Studios Florida.
Fast and Furious Supercharged will start soft testing very soon with a grand opening shortly after. We expect a lot of the film stars to be on hand for the grand opening along with a parade showing off cars from the films!
