Daytime Halloween Fun and Fright Filled Halloween Nights at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom
Just because summer ends doesn’t mean the fun stops at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. On Friday September, 16, Halloween Haunt will open for its 9th season. This year’s event will feature 8 mazes, 4 scare zones, 25 hair-raising rides, live shows, and over 500 gruesome creatures. This lineup includes two new mazes and two new Skeleton Keys.
One of the new mazes this year is Blood on the Bayou. Guests will be transported to the French Quarter as they are confronted by the secrets that trouble the demons and monsters lurking in the murky water.
In The Ward, orderlies have some loose ends to tie up in preparation for the impending state foreclosure. Can you make it past the orderlies or will you end up a permanent resident on the floor?
Guests can stop by for a terrifying stay at the Mansion House Hotel. Though your room isn’t quite ready, they’ll be happy to give you a tour before you settle in for a night you’ll wish you could forget! During your tour, you can unlock a Skeleton Key for a close up and personal encounter with the unusual.
On Cut Throat Island, only the brave dare to walk amongst the Captain and his band of probates. You can unlock the Skeleton Key or be forced to walk the plank!
This year, fright-seekers can now use their Skeleton Keys on 8 attractions. Not only does the Fright Lane including Skeleton Key get you front of the line access, but it also gives you access to 6 Skeleton Key scare rooms full of more intense and interactive scares. It also gives you exclusive access to Blackout, a maze that will test your fear of the dark.
Don’t worry if haunted houses aren’t your thing. Guests who want to join their friends but don’t want the full scare experience can purchase No Boo Necklaces to keep the monsters away!
Younger guests can participate in the Halloween fun at The Great Pumpkin Fest. Kids and families can spend time with their favorite Peanuts characters, trick-or-treat, play in a foam pit, and even meet animals in a petting zoo. There will also be Halloween decorating activities, live entertainment, and all the fun Planet Snoopy has to offer. In Franklin’s Monster Mania, families can see what’s happening with the friendly monsters in the Funster House. Finally, as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”, special viewings of the movie will be offered.
