VIDEO: Front Seat Ride On The New Texas Stingray At SeaWorld San Antonio
After a long anticipated wait, we finally get a front seat ride on Texas Stingray — the new record breaking wooden roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio.
Since the IAAPA reveal, work has quickly progressed as the new coaster was completed in early January. Over the course of the last few weeks, the ride underwent testing for it’s upcoming opening.
Thrill seekers from around the world have been eagerly waiting for a pov video of the full course. Today, their hopes were answered! SeaWorld has gifted us with a front seat ride on this wicked coaster!
Texas Stingray will open later this spring breaking several records in the state: Fastest (55 miles per hour), Longest (3379 feet), and Tallest (100 feet).
With Texas Stingray, the park will now be home to five unique coaster experiences. Spanning a range of ages and thrills, Texas Stingray joins:
- Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster – a double-launch, jet ski-inspired coaster based on marine animal rescue missions
- Great White – a floorless steel roller coaster that challenges riders to 360-degree flips, breathtaking loops, corkscrews and thrilling curves at speeds of up to 50 mph
- Steel Eel – a true hypercoaster featuring a 15-story vertical drop, followed by a series of camelbacks giving riders periods of weightlessness
- Super Grover’s Box Car Derby – a junior-sized steel roller coaster perfect for families with younger children
Texas Stingray is set to open this Spring at SeaWorld San Antonio. For tickets and more information, visit the official SeaWorld website by clicking here.
