Universal Orlando Debuts Fast & Furious Supercharged
As reported previously, Universal has been providing glimpses of the new Fast and Furious Supercharged attraction. The park has recently opened their new ride to revved engines and rave reviews. The opening ceremony of the new attraction will take place on May 2nd, and be streamed LIVE on our facebook page!
Fast & Furious – Supercharged is the next attraction at Universal Studios to feature the new Virtual Line system. Guests can select a time to ride via the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App or at kiosks located near the attraction entrance, and then enjoy other experiences throughout the park until it’s their ride time. Guests can also access a special mobile experience for Fast & Furious – Supercharged on the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App while inside the attraction, including messages from Mia and the rest of the family, character bios, quizzes and more.
As soon as you approach the attraction, you see Dom’s Dodge Charger parked outside – and you know exactly where you are. Welcome to the underground headquarters of the “Fast family.” Inside, you’re immersed in the ultimate Fast & Furious experience. Hit songs from the films’ soundtracks fill the rooms as memorable scenes from the series play around you. You make your way through familiar places inspired by the films, like the Family Room – complete with photos of the Fast family plus, and Tej’s high-tech War Room.
Fast & Furious Supercharged will be the only place where you can see (and take photos with) 15 supercharged Fast & Furious cars – many of them driven by some of your favorite Fast family members. Each vehicle, including Dom’s iconic Dodge Charger and Letty’s Turbo Truck, has been crafted by Dennis McCarthy, the man behind the cars for the Fast & Furious films. Plus, a few of the cars seen in the attraction were uniquely created just for Universal Orlando.
A few weeks ago, we took a stroll through the new gift shop aka the Custom Gear Shop. So much was added, check out all the cars out front!
Inside the new gift shop guests will find that it’s themed like a very detailed garage complete with shop lights and tool boxes for clothing stands. Above the merch racks are custom car parts to complete the garage feel. There’s even a very realistic figure of Dom to grab a selfie with before you leave!
