Universal and Disney Pricing: The Best Ticket Options
Recently, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando have raised their prices for both single day tickets and annual passes. While parks raising their prices is normal (especially before spring break) some people will always argue that prices are too high. We’ll go over the prices and options for your vacation planning, and help determine the best deal. Sometimes an annual pass is worth considering depending on how often you visit, especially if you are a Florida resident.
Walt Disney World in Orlando has four theme parks and two water parks. There are three types of single day tickets at Disney: Value, Regular, and Peak.
Value is the slow days, like January and September, while peak is summer, spring break, and Christmas. Regular is the days in between. Magic Kingdom has an additional price added onto it, being the most visited theme park in the world.
Walt Disney World 2017 1-day pricing:
Epcot, Hollywood Studios, & Animal Kingdom:
- Value $99 (previously $97)
- Regular $107 (previously $102)
- Peak $119 (previously $114)
Magic Kingdom
- Value $107 (previously $105)

Remember that these are single day tickets, and purchasing multi-day tickets are always a better option. You can save $20 when you purchase 3-day or longer tickets online.
*All tickets now have expiration dates*.
Universal Orlando has two theme parks and one water theme park. Single day admission for their new water park; Volcano Bay, has not been announced yet. There is no price difference whether you choose Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios.
