Theme Parks Hosting Events For National Roller Coaster Day August 16!
This Tuesday, August 16, is National Roller Coaster Day. We’ll definitely be celebrating and riding some amazing coasters! We take a look at a few events taking place to celebrate the big day!
Six Flags New England is celebrating by helping kids to “stay on track” by partnering with the United Way for the “Stuff the Bus” campaign to provide school supplies for homeless children. Guests who bring 6-19 school supply items for donation will receive a coupon for $20.16 off of admission. Bring 20 or more items for donation and will receive free admission for the day!
Six Flags America in Maryland will have guests racing their way through coasters on a fun adventure. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. be one of the first 300 guests to sign up for the coaster race. Register at a check-in table located at the Main Street fountain and receive a special lanyard and instructions on how to complete the race. The first 100 riders to complete the race will receive a special prize!
SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa will be celebrating with a Coaster Crusade! Invited guests will take a 13 coaster tour of the two parks! By the end of the day crusaders will have soared across 7 miles of track and climbed 1,400 feet in the air. Best of all, registered guests are permitted to bring go-pros to take video! We will be joining in on the fun at this event, so if you see us with Coaster Nation swag, say hey!
At Kings Island, coaster club members can take advantage of some photo opportunities and exclusive ride times. Guests can take a behind-the-scenes exclusive tour of the Beast and then enjoy some ERT on the ride. Unique photo opportunities will also be available on Diamondback and Banshee!
