Taste of Orleans Coming To California’s Great America

On Monday, California’s Great America finally announced its re-opening that will take place on Saturday, May 22 — and the park is already planning the return of some fan-favorite events!

The Taste of Orleans festival at California’s Great America returns for its fifth year this summer! Featuring authentic Orleans food, live music, and decor right in the heart of the park’s Orleans Place area, Taste of Orleans pairs Cajun flavors with California thrills.

Foodies enjoy tasty regional Cajun cuisine, like chicken and sausage gumbo, crawfish boil, crawfish fritters, fried oyster po’ boys, beignets, praline bread pudding, creole shrimp and crab cheesecake, and more! Exciting jazz and cajun bands roam the festival throughout the day. And the colorful cajun festival closes each evening with a light show down the midway and a Taste of Orleans fireworks show set to Cajun music. It’s the perfect way to end your Orleans day at California’s Great America.

This event is free with park admission. Special event food and drink will be available for purchase a la carte or with a sampling card.

Highlights of the event include:

• Cajun Flavors– Sample authentic cajun Orleans food as well as signature desserts!
• Live Entertainment- Orleans Place comes to life with roaming street performers and board games.
• Regional Cuisine and Drinks- More than two dozen signature brews and drinks will be available to guests!
• Fireworks Festival– Once the sun sets, Orleans Place will be illuminated with an incredible fireworks display!

The Taste of Orleans festival will run on weekends from July 17th through August 1st. All 2020 Silver, Gold, Platinum and Pre-K Season Passes will be honored during the 2021 season, including 2020 Season Pass add-on products. All 2020 park admission tickets are valid through Sept. 6, 2021.
