Six Flags Fiesta Texas Teases 2017 Attraction
Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is the first of the Six Flags parks to start teasing for their 2017 attraction. Rumors are already speculating that the park will go big for it’s 25th anniversary.
Jeffrey Siebert, marketing manager of Fiesta Texas, posted these pictures in a facebook group called “Texas Thrill Seekers“… and used the hashtags #sfft2017 and #FiestaTexas25thAnniversary:
While nothing is confirmed until Six Flags announcement day in September, rumors are flying about a coaster that goes down the quarry walls to a new fireworks show. The current summer fireworks show, Lone Star Nights, uses the quarry wall for showing Texas films during the show, and launches fireworks from the wall. Whatever the attraction is, we believe it will interact with the quarry walls.
Six Flags has invested significant amounts of money into Fiesta Texas, with Iron Rattler in 2013; drop slides at the water park in 2014; and Batman: The Ride, the world’s first 4-D free fly coaster in 2015.
2016 was an off year with the addition of three flat rides, and virtual reality was added to the Superman: Escape from Krypton coaster.
Since dive coasters are popping up at parks everywhere now, could this be the year we see a dive machine built to fall over the edge of the walls into a vertical drop? This will be the parks 25th anniversary, so as Donald trump would say… our guess is that IT’S GONNNA BE HUUUUUUGE!
