Six Flags Fiesta Texas Hosting Commercial Shoot for New Roller Coaster
In the last few weeks, Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster has been tested non-stop. Theme park enthusiasts began wondering when the ride would finally open. Today, the park revealed more details along with an exclusive opportunity to ride.
The park has announced on their Facebook page that they are looking for participants in a commercial shoot for the new coaster. The filming will take place on April 24th between 8am and 5pm. The participants must be a minimum of 48 inches tall and between 18 and 34 years old.
Participants who are selected will be notified by email on April 23rd. The application to sign up for the filming session can be found here.
The park has also released the POV of the new coaster. The ride is to open to the public on May 12th.
When Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster opens later this month, it will be the first of three Rocky Mountain Construction coasters using the 15.5 inch wide Raptor Track. Two other Raptor Track installations (at different parks) are also expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
As the first of its kind in the world, WONDER WOMAN Golden Lasso Coaster will feature:
- The world’s first, one-of-a-kind single-rail coaster on a visually impressive I-beam no wider than 15.5 inches
- A straight-down 90-degree drop
- Two airtime hills, one 180-degree stall, a zero-g roll, and overbanked turns
- Three vehicles with eight single-file, in-line passenger seats
- A moving loading station to expedite entering and exiting the ride
- A Princess Diana in Themyscira visual storyline throughout the queue line featuring Greco-Greek architecture, Wonder Woman likenesses and Steve Trevor’s crashed plane.
The park recently held a press conference where they unveiled a new Wonder Woman statue for the ride and showed us an up close look at the coaster train. Check it out in the video below.
