SeaWorld San Antonio to Receive New Rides and Slides in 2019
We have recently uncovered some documents that point to a big year for SeaWorld San Antonio in 2019. Even after receiving Wave Breaker in 2017, it seems the park is expanding in both the rides and slides portion of the park.
For Aquatica, it seems that the park will be receiving a brand new slide complex. From the permits on the San Antonio government’s website, the new project is described as: “HE AQSA 2019 ATTRACTION IS LOCATED IN THE AQUATICA WATERPARK AREA NEAR THE MAIN ENTRANCE. THE ATTRACTION IS A NEW SLIDE TOWER WITH (3) WATER SLIDES AND NEW AREA DEVELOPMENT WITHIN AN EXISTING SEATING AREA.” It is unknown what type of slide this attraction is.
Furthermore, it seems that the park will also be receiving new rides as well. From the details provided by the online permits, it seems that the park will be receiving a ride package consisting of a Huss Air-Boat and Zamperla Midi-Discovery. Along with these rides, a new turtle exhibit pool is being built. Since these documents were filed with the Aquatica documents, it is logical to assume these rides will be installed for 2019.
Although we have made some very educated guesses with strong evidence, this is still just that, a guess. Until SeaWorld officially announces a new attraction, take it with a grain of salt..
