Orlando Eye To Become Coca Cola Orlando Eye
The Orlando Eye, which opened in May of 2015, is going to be re-branded to the Coca Cola Orlando Eye.
A media event will take place on July 28, where Robin Goodchild, Orlando Eye’s General Manager, will announce the new partnership with Coke, and other new features for the Orlando Eye and I-Drive 360. Exciting changes are expected to be announced on that day.
Since opening, the Orlando Eye has become one of the region’s iconic structures and a colorful attraction where leaders design lighting plans to reflect current events. Last year, daredevil high wire walker, Nik Wallenda, walked along the top of the 400ft eye while it was moving! Recently, the wheel was lit in rainbow colors after the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in downtown Orlando last month. Similarly, the colors were changed to honor victims in the Paris shooting and those killed in the airport bombing at Brussels airport.
The 400ft Orlando Eye is the centerpiece of I Drive 360, which is also home to the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Sea Life Aquarium. The Eye is the sister wheel of the Coca Cola London Eye, which has already been re-branded.
Merlin Entertainments also owns other attractions in Central Florida, including Legoland Florida Resort, located in Winter Haven.
