New Tailspin Racer Coming to Dollywood’s Splash Country in 2017
Its that time of the year when parks start announcing what new additions will be made during the off season. In the last few days, several amusement parks have announced changes to their waterparks. Dollywood has just announced that they will be making a change with the addition of Tailspin, a racing waterslide set to open in their Splash Country waterpark in 2017!
Riders can challenge their family and friends to a race down Tailspin, a five story mat slide that extends longer than a football field in length. Up to six riders at once can begin their ride sailing through the twists and turns of the intertwined AquaTubes. After emerging from the translucent tubes, riders will race their way to the splashdown finish.
Tailspin will be located alongside the Big River Pavilion near the park entrance and riders will climb five stories above the park before their descent. The new slide will join the ranks of other world-class slides at Splash Country like RiverRush, Tennessee’s only water coaster, and Big Bear Plunge, a white water rafting adventure.
