Lagoon Opens The New Cannibal Roller Coaster – video
Cannibal at Lagoon Park in Farmington, Utah has officially made it’s public debut!
Check out this video showing off some of the coasters amazing features!
Instead of purchasing a shiny new coaster from a major ride manufacturer, lagoon decided to construct their new ride entirely in house for 22 million dollars making for a very unique attraction. The result is perhaps one of the most unique ride layouts we’ve ever seen!
First, riders journey up a 208 ft high elevator style lift hill. If that wasn’t odd enough, the track dives out of the tall tower dropping well beyond 90° (116° to be exact) before pulling up into a huge immelman style inversion
The landscaping on this ride is pretty awesome too featuring an underground tunnel and a really cool waterfall.
If you plan on visiting the park, beware of the increased wait times. Lagoon spokesman Adam Leishman said line waits have been up to two hours now that Cannibal is open.
But he says most guests agree that “the wait is well worth the effort!”.
