Krampus Announced For Halloween Horror Nights At Universal Studios

It’s hard to believe it’s already that time of year again, but Halloween festivities are right around the corner! On select nights from September 16th through October 31st, 2016, the streets of Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida theme parks will come alive with hordes of horrifying mutants, monsters and maniacs.

Nobody creates a more nightmarish Halloween event filled with truly original scares and authentic horror movie moments. You can explore terrifying haunted houses, make your way through multiple scare zones where creatures lurk around every turn, enjoy outrageous live shows, and experience many of the park’s most exciting rides and attractions.

For this Halloween season, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are unveiling yet another new Halloween Horror Nights maze.

Beginning September 16th, guests can experience Christmas with a dark and sinister twist in this new maze based off of Krampus, a Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures’ horror film that hit theaters last Christmas. Come face to face with the monster himself in this video!

Fast forward to a dark Christmas Eve in the dead of winter and beware of Krampus, a “half-goat, half-demon” horned creature who’s come to unleash terror on those devoid of holiday spirit. You’re invited to join the Engels at their home for the holidays. In this maze you’ll navigate your way through their family home as you try to escape the evil Krampus and his army of Gingerbread Men and Dark Elves finding a new gruesome gift awaiting you in each room.

Although new at Universal Studios, this isn’t the first time we have experienced a Krampus walk through attraction. Last year, The ScareHouse in Pittsburgh PA, worked with Legendary, Weta Workshop, and writer/director Michael Dougherty to create a haunted attraction based on Krampus. We made the trip to ScareHouse to experience the new walk through attraction and we have to say, it was pretty incredible! The detail was amazing plus it featured some of the actual props from the film. Check out this video showing off the ScareHouse’s vision of Krampus.

During Halloween Horror Nights, the streets of each park are transformed into themed scare zones. You’ll be the star and victim of your very own horror film as you brave the streets of the park. Beware of the creatures lurking in the dark!

Guests have the opportunity to see some of their favorite slasher films and horror television shows and even some brand new horror stories come to life in the haunted houses created around the park.
