While Kings Island specializes in thrill-inducing attractions, the park is also pretty good at raising awareness and funds for research and care in the fight against cancers affecting men, women and children.

During Kings Island Kicks Cancer days from August 1 through August 21, park guests can make an impact in the caring and cure of cancer by purchasing a soccer ball and kicking it into the park’s fountain on International Street for a chance to win a brand new 2016 Honda Civic courtesy of Performance Kings Honda.

Soccer balls will be $5 for one, $20 for five, $100 for 25, $250 for 65, and $500 for 130. For individuals who cannot make it out to the park during Kings Island Kicks Cancer days, you can still help make an impact by purchasing soccer balls online. The Kings Island Kicks Cancer team will kick your ball into the fountain for you for a chance to win the car!

Recently, Kings Island has been posting teasers of what they have planned for their 2017 attraction on their social media platforms. There are many rumors that the addition will be a new wooden coaster, and that this season would be the final season for Race For Your Life Charlie Brown.

To up the anticipation, traditional NEWS stations were sent an axe with the message shown in the photo below.

The area in rivertown, where construction is taking place for this new attraction, is blocked off with a fence that has had different signs and hints through-out the summer. The most recent hint was a bunch of stumps lined along the fence as shown below.

Last week, NEWS teams were sent yet again another item. This time, a little truck filled with sticks and a note attached as an invite to the parks 2017 attraction announcement.

We caught up with the parks PR Manager, Don Helbig for a quick interview. During the interview we slipped in a question asking him about the new Kings Island coaster. See what he had to say below!

The unveiling for their new attraction is set for Thursday, July 28th at 10 P.M. We were invited to the announcement and will be front and center, so, Coaster Nation fans will be able to watch the event LIVE on our social media channels! This is an event you won’t want to miss!
