Kentucky Kingdom Offering FREE Ticket For Friends With New Season Pass Purchase

Kentucky Kingdom has recently announced a new partnership with Herschend Family Entertainment — who owns and operates several other theme parks and entertainment centers such as the Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, and Newport Aquarium.

The partnership revealed that Kentucky Kingdom would now be operated by Herschend Entertainment. As soon as the partnership was officially announced, many began to wonder what would change for the 2021 season. A press announcement revealed little would change in 2021, but it seems there’s already a promotional offer that has current season passholders in a frenzy.

In 2020, Kentucky Kingdom announced that guests who purchased a season pass before Memorial Day 2020, would also receive the 2021 season for free due to the pandemic. After memorial day, 2021 season passes were offered for $49.95.

Now, just days after the partnership was announced, 2021 season passes include one free “Bring-A-Friend Ticket” for any weekday of choice in June. The current promotion is just $5.00 more than the previous.

Current passholders began to reach out to the park to see if their 2021 passes included a Bring-A-Friend ticket as well.

Kentucky Kingdom has stated publicly via social media:

“The Bring a Friend Free benefit applies ONLY to 2021 season passes that are purchased between Feb 1st through April 4th 2021. Our 2021 passes were a lower price of $49.95 up until Feb 1st. Guests were able to purchase at the lowest price ever. We added the bring a friend promotion as an added benefit to help with the price increase. Our season passes are an incredible deal once you factor in the cost of our one day admission plus parking fee of $10 each time you visit”.

This sent current passholders who purchased their passes early in a frenzy voicing that a $5.00 difference is not equal or better than receiving a complimentary Bring-A-Friend ticket. Also claiming that they should have received the “best deal” for being loyal passholders who committed early. Others are saying they are thankful for the deal and “just happy the park is opening for 2021”.

According to the Kentucky Kingdom website, 2021 passes are available now for $54.95 and include:

• One Bring-a-friend FREE ticket*
• Free parking
• $1 soft drinks
• Unlimited $10 off family size pizzas
• 20% discount on food & merchandise
• (12) $1 off gameplays
• (2) $9 off a cabana coupons
• And more

*Bring-A-Friend FREE ticket entitles you to receive ONE ticket to bring a friend free on any weekday in June for Season Passes purchased between February 1st, 2021 and April 5th, 2021.
