Kennywood Presents the 4th Annual Holiday Lights
Kennywood, in Pittsburgh PA, is transforming the park into a winter wonderland of lights, rides, and special activities for the 4th annual Holiday Lights! The annual event will feature over one million lights connected to over 12 miles of extension cords. That’s enough extension cords to connect Kennywood to Heinz Field on Pittsburgh’s North Shore! Festive foods, activities for children, and of course, Santa Claus will be there! The park will also offer all the great holiday features such as the Kennyville Stage and the original Potato Patch! That means one more extra month to stuff your face full of patch fried goodness!
The Holiday event kicks off Friday, November 28, and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night through December 21 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On opening night (Friday Nov 28) the park will feature the perfect Pittsburgh ending: fireworks!
Guests can even experience a VIP evening with Santa! Kennywood will be hosting “Dinner with Santa” December 6, 13, 14 & 20. Enter the park early at 3:30 and join in for some fun as Santa and his friends make a special visit this holiday season! Plenty of photo opportunities will be available and an all you can eat buffet! Last year, Dinner with Santa SOLD OUT, so get your tickets early! You can purchase tickets now by clicking here.

The area surrounding the lagoon comes alive with the Kennywood Holiday Lights Show every half hour starting at 5:30 PM. There are two different versions of the Kennywood Holiday Lights Show, so be sure to enjoy each 10 minute performances!
More than 60 live pine trees will decorate the park thanks to the Indiana County Christmas Tree Growers’ Association. Holiday sounds and Christmas carols can be heard each evening with a variety of local performance groups featured each night. A complete list of choir groups can be found here.
Other festive activities include an area for kids to write their own letters to Santa, cookie decorating, a model train display, and memorabilia from It’s a Wonderful Life. Don’t miss perhaps one of the most unique opportunities to take a picture with Santa featuring the historic Racer roller coaster!
