JDRF To Resume Kings Island One Walk Event In 2021

One of the highlights of any season of Kings Island is the numerous community events at the park. One such event was the annual One Walk event held by the park and JDRF. The event allowed for kids with Type 1 Diabetes to have a day at Kings Island and raise money to help fund the best and most cutting-edge research to cure, treat and prevent Type 1 Diabetes.

The 2020 event was done virtually, as Kings Island was shut down during the scheduled date. Fortunately, the event is back for the 2021 season. To accommodate for the 2021 event, the walk will be held in two different ways:

• Walk anytime and anywhere and celebrate with the community on May 23rd.
• Have an informal self guided 5k at Kings Island on May 23rd.

Individuals and teams participating in the walk can earn anything from a One Walk T-Shirt up to having the Team or T1D picture displayed on a Billboard in Columbus, Dayton, or Cincinnati for two weeks! Teams will also be able to obtain five Kings Island tickets if they meet a certain threshold!

Since it’s inception in 1994, the event has raised over $10 million
