First Of It’s Kind Attraction Opening At Rowdy Bear Mountain!

Rowdy Bear Mountain located in Gatlinburg, TN, has officially announced the addition of another attraction… but this time it’s the FIRST OF IT’S KIND!

The Rowdy Bear Mountain Glider is coming in the fall of 2017!  Rowdy Bear describes their new ride as, “a suspended single rail coaster that safely soars through the treetops of Rowdy Bear Mountain. An amazing adventure that combines free falling and hang gliding into a safe, fun experience.”

Rowdy Bear has very quickly made a name for itself, after only being open since June of 2017. Currently, the location already boasts a, “Gravity Coaster,” aka Alpine Coaster, which offers a ride between 5-7 minutes in which the rider controls their own speed with a hand brake, through the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Now, before even celebrating the venues one year anniversary, they will be adding the WORLDS FIRST MOUNTAIN GLIDER!

We spoke with Mark and Lisa Williford; owners of Rowdy Bear Mountain, who very proudly told us about the new addition:

“Mountain Glider will be a suspended, single rail coaster with Dual lines, so you can race friends or other riders down the Smoky Mountain. It’s a gravity coaster in the air! We will also be offering spectacular night glides, as well!  Our staff has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the glider – they have worked tirelessly constructing the foundations, cutting trees, and prepping the mountain. We are so ready to share it with the world!”
