First Ever Dual Launched BoogieBoard Water Ride is Now Open

No beach? No problem! Now guests at Water World Waterpark in Denver, Colorado can boogie board on the park’s newest attraction dubbed Cowabunga Beach!

The new attraction designed by ADG (Aquatic Development Group) has named the water ride Breaker Beach. But once parks (such as Water World) purchase the ride from them, the parks can then name it whatever they choose. The dual launching boogie board surf pool provides riders with the perfect boogie boarding wave each and every time. Perfect waves push out every four seconds launching riders off a peninsula. This continuous throughput allows the ride to have nearly no line, creating a higher capacity than most water attractions. Water World, just outside of Denver Colorado, is the first to install the new water ride and named it “Cowabunga Beach“. Check out Cowabunga Beach in action!

Water World Waterpark is located just outside of Denver, Colorado. Colorado is a landlocked state making Cowabunga Beach even more unique. The new attraction is located in the North Shore of the park which is visible as soon as guests enter the park. Worried about crashing off the board? No worries! No boogie boarding skills are needed to ride the waves. Kids and parents alike can enjoy the thrill of the beach while staying inland!

A brand new attraction also creates new speculation of where these attractions will end up. Aside from the intial install at Water World, an attraction like this could be a good option for Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora, OH.  The park hasn’t received a new attraction in several years and retro fitting their old wave pool with an attraction like this could draw in thrill-seekers from around the tri-state area. Jumping on a new series of attractions wouldn’t be unlike Cedar Fair, and a new unique attraction could draw people back to Wildwater Kingdom.

Back at Water World, Cowabunga Beach isn’t the only new attraction at the park. Next to Cowabunga Beach is another brand new attraction called Turtle Bay. This 2,500sqft wave pool (also designed by ADG) is created especially for small children. Turtle Bay boasts lots of amazing interactive play features for the kids as well as other unique features for adults such as customized bench seating.

Water World, known as “America’s Largest Family Waterpark” is set to introduce other rides from AGD’s series of premier rides and add to the the unique family attractions! We can’t wait to check them out!
