Factory of Terror Opened For An Adrenaline Pumping Event on Friday The 13th
On Friday, February 13th, Factory of Terror Haunted Attraction in Canton, Ohio opened it’s doors for a special Friday The 13th / Valentine’s event. We were there to check out everything the “World’s Longest Haunted House” had to offer!
Continuing their tradition of opening for every Friday the 13th, FOT hosted yet another successful evening of haunted entertainment, this time called “Eat your Heart Out“. The event included full actor tours of all 5 attractions. The length of the 5 attractions officially make FOT the World’s Longest Haunted House documented by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Lets face it, almost all major Haunted Attractions nowadays are offering a special event of some kind outside of their normal season, BUT none offer the pure terror that FOT brings to the table. This Haunted House isn’t in the record books by luck. Aside from spectcular highly detailed sets, they also house the first mirror maze ever used in a haunted house in the United States! This perfectly engineered reflective nightmare completely absorbs your mind, warping your commitment to the belief “seeing is believing”.
The FOT team debuted a couple new sets that have never been seen before. This included some crazy walking paths that not even haunted house enthusiasts are accustomed to. These were sort of a sneak peek at sets that will be new for the 2015 Halloween season, so we don’t want to get into too much detail and ruin the show. We will just say that you have to see them for yourself or you wouldn’t believe us anyways. We have toured a lot of haunted attractions around the world but FOT is really setting the bar high for haunts! There’s so much to see within the attractions that you may have to purchase multiple tickets and go through them a few times before you catch all the details.. Especially in attractions such as Industrial Nightmare and Massacre On Mahoning.
The actors never missed a step and did a terrific job acting, especially for an off season event!
“We have had great success opening for Friday the 13th. Despite the cold weather, everyone is having a great time,” said John Eslich, Owner of Factory of Terror.
Every guest that attended the event had an opportunity to sign their name on a giant poster that will be displayed at FOT in the future.
Haunters from all around the country attended this event. We talked with patrons from Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, Chicago, Ohio, and Pennsylvania who were all in attendance. Scott Simmons of ScareHouse and Dan Hower & Alyssa Schipani of Haunted Hollow stopped for a quick photo with FOT owner, John Eslich and his zombie assistants.
Here’s some photos of a cool Crematorium scene. Whether it’s all in your head or if you can reach the end of all, you’ll be left running through this nightmarish place. The photos really don’t do justice for how detailed this area really is!
If you missed this special event, we have some great news!
“We have had such great success with our off-season events that we decided to offer not only full actor tours again on the Friday the 13th event in March, but we are also going to offer something very special on Saturday, the 14th. Since it will be just before St. Patricks Day, we will have special surprise gifts for guests that weekend. Tickets are limited, so purchase them online now before it’s too late,” said John Eslich, Owner of Factory of Terror.
If you’re looking for the ultimate thrill on Friday the 13th, then you really need to check out Factory of Terror. If you don’t like to wait in lines, we highly suggest purchasing a FASTpass and skip the lines! The FASTpass allows guests to skip the long queue lines and is available for an additional fee.
Factory of Terror will be open again Friday, March 13th from 8pm – 11pm. We will bring you the latest on what is happening for Saturday the 14th very soon so be sure to follow us on twitter, facebook, and instagram. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
