Dollywood Announces Company Promotions
This year, Dollywood took home several Golden Ticket Awards. The park earned Best New Ride (for Lightning Rod), Friendlies Park, Best Shows, and Best Christmas Events. In the midst of a successful season, The Dollywood Company has announced four promotions amongst their employees.
Derrick Calkin will be taking over the role of General Manager of Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Cabins. He has been with The Dollywood Company for five years and helped the Smoky Mountain Cabins add new properties. He previously worked at the senior property manager and under his direction, the cabin rentals have received “best in class” ratings.
Jason Boothe, a twenty-one year member of the company will be taking over as Vice President of Operations for Dollywood. He began his career working in games and attractions at Dollywood before he was promoted to Director of Operations. His work has helped Dollywood become an industry leader in guest safety and satisfaction as well as park cleanliness and employee care.
Jack Stevenson will now be The Dollywood Company’s Senior Marketing Manager and will be responsible for media buying, attendance forecasting, and pricing. He joined the company two years ago, bringing with him a wealth of theme park knowledge that helped developed Dollywood’s Season Pass program.
Jessica Hall will be moving from Training Supervisor to Communications Manager. She will be responsible for developing communications across multiple divisions and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
This group of people are all gearing up for another year of growth. With TailSpin Racer coming to Dollywood’s Splash Country, Dollywood’s team is looking forward to successful 2017!
