After months of anticipation and waiting, Busch Gardens Tampa has finally announced that Cobra’s Curse will open June 17!
On June 17, 2016, thrill seekers will finally be able to take a spin on Busch Gardens’ newest attraction! Cobra’s Curse will be the first spinning coaster to feature an elevator lift hill. The new coaster will first thrust riders forward, then backwards, and finally free spin riders for the third part of the ride. It will be 2,100 feet long, 40 miles per hour, and have a maximum height of 70 feet.

Busch Gardens is finally re-imagining its Egypt section after Montu opened twenty years ago. Along with Cobra’s Curse, a new culinary section called Serpent’s Snacks (which has already opened across from the ride entrance) will include Coke Freestyle machines and other unique snack options.

A new gift shop has also opened called Cobra’s Crypt featuring ride merchandise, shirts, and other cool items. The games around the area have also been updated to reflect new snake theme.
