Cedar Point Releases Second Meanstreak Teaser
Yesterday, coaster enthusiasts from all over gathered at Cedar Point for the parks annual Coastermania event. This all-day event began at 7 am with ERT and included a picnic lunch at the Lakeside Pavilion, a cruise around the lake aboard the Goodtime I (who so graciously stepped in to help after Jet Express blew an engine earlier this week), a Q&A session with some of the park’s year-round staff, and ERT after the park closed.
During the Q&A session, park officials were unable to make any comments on what’s going in Frontier Town, but they did offer a short teaser video that was released on Twitter following the presentation. This clip, much like the first one released, is only 18 seconds long, perhaps another clue that whatever it is will be opening next year.
The camera rolls across two lengths of track side-by-side and then pans over to a shot of track coming through the hill of the first drop. The clip ends with the words “They’re wild and unruly”. The camera shots and the wording appear to be hinting at the fact that this might turn out to be a racing coaster, but it don’t spell that out for sure. Cedar Point has been known to use red herrings to confuse fans trying to figure out the park’s future plans.
