American Dream Celebrates Read Across America Day With FREE Event

This year, American Dream, located in East Rutherford, NJ, celebrates the National Education Association’s Read Across America Day with a fun-filled hour of storytelling, craft activities and giveaways for children ages four to ten.

Leading the Read-Aloud will be New Jersey Family magazine’s Editorial Director, Dina El Nabli, who will read Breathing Makes it Better by Christopher Willard and Wendy O’Leary. This sweet story teaches children how to navigate powerful emotions like anger, fear, sadness, confusion, anxiety, and loneliness.

After the readings, children will be treated to a physically-distant craft activity and packaged treats to take home. Each attendee will also receive a coupon good for 15% off a future visit to Blacklight Mini Golf or Mirror Maze — American Dream’s newest attraction, a mind-bending galaxy of corridors with twists and turns around every corner.

Read Across America Day takes place on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. There is no charge to attend the limited capacity event, but Pre-registration is required: https://www.americandream.com/readacrossamerica

This event is the first to kick off a new monthly series called “Kids at AD”, that will take place on the first Tuesday of each month.

Those who are unable to join in person can follow along on American Dream’s Instagram @americandream to watch live!
