“A Frozen Holiday Wish” show debuts at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom
Frozen just might be Disney’s most popular movie of all time. After a year, kids around the world are still singing the “Let it Go” jingle like it was released yesterday. Magic Kingdom’s new Frozen Holiday Wish show debuted Wednesday with a huge crowd on hand in which featured Frozen characters Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf! Yes, you read that right… OLAF made his debut as a character as well!
In the past, Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy debated how to decorate the castle for the holidays before the Fairy Godmother came in to light it up for Cinderella’s Holiday Wish. This year things are a bit different with some gleaming winter magic… More than 200,000 white shimmering lights make the castle appear to be frosted over and the lights periodically twinkle, giving it an added magical touch.
The frosty world of the most successful animated movie of all time will play a big part in the park’s annual holiday event this year. Frozen characters will join Magic Kingdom’s Christmas parade. And over at Hollywood Studios, the summer sing-along and snow play area are now on the list of daily attractions. At Epcot, where the Candlelight Processional is one of the most popular holiday traditions, actor Jonathan Groff, (the voice of mountain man Kristoff) will narrate the Christmas story Dec. 3-5, accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and choir.
