Hersheypark Announces “Choose-Your-Thrill” Triple Tower for 2017
Since June, Hersheypark has been teasing for its 2017 attraction. This week Hersheypark announced Hershey’s Triple Tower, the first “choose-your-thrill” drop and launch tower complex in the United States. The ride complex will contain three different S&S drop towers and will be Hersheypark’s first major ride to be chocolate and candy themed.
Each tower will contain a unique theme. The first and smallest tower will be the Kisses Tower. It will stand 80 feet tall and will host 12 riders at once. The middle tower will be Reese’s Tower, standing at 131 feet tall with 16 riders. The third and tallest tower will be Hershey’s Tower, at 189 feet tall with 20 riders, and will feature a new S&S round car.
All three towers will feature the Double Shot style ride experience, meaning riders will be blasted to the top, then lowered to the bottom with cushioned bounces. Hershey’s Tower will offer the Space Shot and Turbo Drop experiences with each ride having its own queue line.
“Hersheypark is well-known for providing guests with rides and attractions that the entire family can enjoy and this new ride is sure to deliver,” said Kevin Stumpf, general manager of attractions and entertainment. “We are happy to be adding this new attraction that will offer families the opportunity to choose their level of thrill and enjoy panoramic views of the park.“
Triple Tower will be located on the Kissing Tower Hill, and will be located in the current spot of Red Baron, Frog Hopper, and Convoy. Frog Hopper and Convoy will be relocated to Flying Falcon’s spot, and Flying Falcon will be removed from the park. Red Baron will be moved to the Boardwalk.
Also Tuesday, Hersheypark announced the addition of a Chick-fil-A Express restaurant for 2017. Offering a limited menu of both breakfast and lunch/dinner items, the restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor seating.
Hersheypark’s most recent attraction was Laff Track, an indoor spin coaster that opened in 2015. Take a POV ride on Laff Track below!
