Six Flags Over Georgia Announces 12 New Rides!

Six Flags has been on a roll recently with the unveiling of new rides at parks throughout their portfolio, including Total Mayhem coming to Six Flags Great Adventure next spring. On Thursday, September 4th, Six Flags over Georgia announced the park was getting a total of 12 (TWELVE) new rides in 2016 as they are adding two new sections to the park! The World’s first ever DC Super Friends themed-area will be introduced and Bugs Bunny Boomtown will be the finished product of re-theming and expanding the current kids play area.

DC Super Friends will feature five all-new attractions that offer thrills for pint-sized guests including a bouncing drop tower, flying jets and helicopters, mirror maze and a lil’ coaster. The Batman vs. Superman movie, starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will hit theaters in Spring 2016, which will build up excitement for Six Flags’ new additions. The area currently is The Dolphin Show, which has been with the park since the 90’s, and will be converted to this new Super Hero land. The transformed area is scheduled to officially open for Memorial Day Weekend 2016.

The new rides & attractions will be Superman Tower of Power, a 65-foot tall bounce tower, The Batcopters, which are flying rides that give guests an opportunity to oversee Gotham City, Wonder Woman Flight School has guests fly and control their own invisible jets, Harley Quinn Mirror Maze will be filled with devious stares and disproportioned mirrors and The Joker Funhouse Coaster features the Super-Villian having you where he wants you with 900 feet of track at 30 MPH.

The current Bugs Bunny World is going to be changed over to Bugs Bunny Boomtown and will feature seven rides and attractions from Bugs Bunny & his zany cast of friends. New to 2016 will be Daffy Duck’s Bucket Blasters which is a crazy and wacky family water battle, Speedy Gonzales Speed Boats will have guests zipping around on six speed boats, Bugs Bunny High Sea Adventure gives guests the chance to fly in the air on a pint-sized sea quest, Yosemite Sam’s Wacky Wagons is a western themed ferris-wheel that’s perfect for lil’ buckaroos, Looney Tunes Adventure Camp is an interactive playground that features Bugs Bunny and all of his crazy Looney Tunes buddies, Acme Trucking Company are monster trucks that aide Wile E. Coyote in capturing the Road Runner and, finally, Tweety’s Tweehouse is a 20-foot journey into the widdle birdie’s nest. The Boomtown is slated to open in time for the 2016 Six Flags Over Georgia season.
