Fear Fair’s 2015 Zombie Prom Was A Huge Success!

It’s no secret that we LOVE covering horror and Halloween inspired events! Over the weekend Fear Fair; Indiana’s Scariest Haunted House hosted their first annual Zombie Prom in Seymour Indiana!

We attended this incredible event first hand to to get the full experience. The costumes were great, the party was a blast, the drink specials were unique, and to top it off, they offered free red carpet photos AND also a photo booth with free prints!

The event was presented by Fear Fair Haunted House but was hosted just down the street from the attraction at On the Rox Bar and Grill. Outside, guests arrived to a red carpet walk where they posed for photos. There were lots of zombies milling around the entrance including giant 10 foot tall creatures and a girl spinning poi fireballs!

Soon as our crew arrived and saw the hoard of zombies outside along with everything else, we knew this was going to be a great event. A local band called Moonshine Mafia was playing in the main bar area surrounded by zombies and horror props through-out the bar. The band was in full costume for the event too! (although they may dress up in costume all the time, this was our first time seeing them).

Aside from the bar area, the Rox also has a connected but separate night club in the back which was where the event was actually hosted. Here there were loads of prom decorations, another full bar with themed drinks, a haunted photo booth with a themed backdrop, pool tables, huge dance floor, and of course a live DJ.

They even had a giant screen set of that projected twitter and instagram posts on it. All guests had to do was use the hashtag #ZombieProm and their post showed up on the big screen!

Without digging for ideas, there was really not much else you could ask for at a summer horror event. Zombie Prom was the ultimate social event for haunted house fan! (i do want to note that the DJ that night (supplied by the bar not the haunted house) was kind of a jerk when asking him ANYTHING!).
The night included door prizes, photo-ops with free prints, and of course the crowning of a 2015 Zombie Prom King and Queen!!
Queen: Kaylee Davis | King: Chad Kern

All the costumes were really good for it being a public event in a small town. Most of the costumes were well beyond what we expected to see. The Fear Fair makeup team and a company that makes the product “Zombie-Skin” were both set up on-site doing professional makeup before the event kicked off, which made for some extra amazingly dead sights!

The event was for all humans and zombies 21 and older since it was held at a bar, but the cost was only a $5.00 cover charge for tickets!

This was such a great event that was very well received. In fact, the crew from Fear Fair said they are already planning out the 2016 Zombie Prom with some new twists! From here the event will only get bigger and better. Our media team had a great time and it truly was a night to dismember!
This event wouldn’t have been possible without all these awesome sponsors!
