Something Superior Coming to Valleyfair in 2026

Valleyfair is setting the stage for something big in 2026, just in time for its 50th Anniversary. The park has already confirmed that “new waterpark adventures” are on the way, and all signs point toward one of the largest expansions in its history.

To prepare for construction, a large portion of Soak City officially closed on August 10, with Valleyfair encouraging guests to enjoy favorites like Hurricane Falls, Panic Falls Body & Speed Slides, Ripple Rapids, and Splash Station one last time.

The teaser tagline “Something Superior is coming in 2026” and the hashtag #SomethingSuperior26 have sparked plenty of speculation. The project appears to involve creating a new identity for the park’s Soak City waterpark, potentially transforming it into what may become known as “Superior Shores Waterpark”.

Regardless of the final name and details, this expansion is shaping up to be a milestone investment that will bring an entirely new chapter of fun to Valleyfair guests in 2026.
