Zoombezi Bay Extends Summer Fun With Oktoberfest Event
Zoombezi Bay is set to close out its season with a splash of fall flair as the waterpark brings back its popular Oktoberfest celebration.

For two weekends, Central Ohio’s largest waterpark will combine German-inspired festivities, seasonal flavors, and its signature attractions to create a send-off that bridges the fun of summer with the excitement of autumn.

The celebration will feature live German music, Bavarian-style dishes, and local breweries serving pumpkin and fall-flavored beers for guests 21 and older. Families can also enjoy access to select rides and attractions, including Wild Tides, Cyclone, Croctail Creek, and the Conservation Tower. The innovative three-part tower—home to The Hive, Captina Falls, and Mussel Mayhem—made its debut earlier this season and will be available to experience for the final time this year during the festival. Guests can also take advantage of end-of-season discounts at the Sea Star Sundries gift shop.

Live bands and entertainment will be provided daily from 12pm–4pm. check out the full schedule below.

“This has been an incredible season at Zoombezi Bay, highlighted by the debut of our world-first Conservation Tower,” said Anthony Sabo, Vice President of Zoombezi Bay and Guest Services. “The response from our guests has been extremely positive, and Oktoberfest is the perfect way to celebrate together as we close out the season. From exciting slides to festive food and entertainment, it’s all about creating memories that keep families coming back year after year.”
Season Pass Holders and Columbus Zoo Gold Members will receive free admission to Oktoberfest. On September 1, 6, and 7, those members will also be able to bring up to two guests at a discounted rate, with tickets available for purchase at the main entrance. In addition, members will enjoy a 10% discount on non-sale merchandise at Sea Star Sundries.

The event is exclusive to Zoombezi Bay, with food and beverage options available for purchase. Guests must be 21 years or older with valid ID to purchase or consume alcohol. Ticket prices and opportunities vary by weekend, and visitors are encouraged to check the park’s website for the latest details. While Oktoberfest is included with regular Zoombezi Bay admission, Columbus Zoo admission is not included in this event.
Zoombezi Bay’s Oktoberfest takes place August 30 through September 1 and again September 6–7, 2025. Tickets and full event information are available now at the Zoombezi Bay website.
