Hershey Inn & Suites: Construction Begins For New Resort Hotel

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts has announced the addition of a new hotel, Hershey Inn & Suites, set to open in spring 2026.

The new select-service property will feature 130 rooms, including seven suites, and offer guests complimentary continental breakfast alongside amenities like an indoor pool. Construction has already commenced in the West End development of Derry Township, marking a new chapter for the company’s growing accommodations portfolio.

“Hershey Inn & Suites will provide our guests with even more diverse lodging options when they visit The Sweetest Place On Earth,” stated Jason Heath, Vice President of Resort Operations. Heath emphasized the hotel’s unique connection to Hersheypark and its expanding resort offerings.

Select-service hotels are a type of accommodation that strikes a balance between full-service and limited-service hotels, offering essential amenities such as a reception area, guest rooms, and basic food and beverage options without the extensive facilities of higher-end properties. Typically more cost-effective, these hotels cater to budget-conscious travelers while still providing a comfortable stay. They often target specific demographics, such as business travelers or families, and may feature services like meeting rooms and complimentary breakfast.

The proposed Hershey Inn & Suites will be situated along West End Avenue, placing it conveniently near notable landmarks like the Englewood Barn and Cocoa Beanery. This prime location places guests near key landmarks and attractions in the area.

The upcoming Hershey Inn & Suites will join The Official Resorts of Hersheypark, alongside The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, and Hersheypark Camping Resort. As the first select-service hotel in the group, it aims to cater to a wider range of visitors while offering exclusive benefits to guests. Staying at one of the Official Resorts of Hersheypark grants visitors perks such as the best pricing on Hersheypark tickets, extended morning and evening hours at the park, shuttle service to a dedicated drop-off location, and access to destination activities.

The announcement of Hershey Inn & Suites is follows the resort’s ongoing luxury expansion at The Hotel Hershey. The Villas at The Hotel Hershey, a newly elevated luxury experience, is set to open nine new Villas in fall 2025, adding 50 more rooms to the resort.

Phase one of The Villas was completed in May 2024, with 48 reimagined rooms featuring refreshed furnishings, an all-new concierge lounge, and tailored Hersheypark experiences.
