Busch Gardens Williamsburg to Unleash ‘The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge’ in 2025

In 2025, Busch Gardens Williamsburg plans to unveil its most immersive family attraction yet, marking a new era in the park’s history.

The highlight? A thrilling addition titled The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge, which will become North America’s longest family inverted coaster.

Set against the backdrop of a lively Bavarian village during the renowned Festival of the Silent Bells, the joyous festivities are abruptly overshadowed by eerie red eyes and bone-chilling howls, hinting at the return of a sinister creature. Riders will feel like they’re becoming the beast in this electrifying adventure.

The coaster’s name wasn’t selected lightly. In a naming contest that drew overn 30,000 votes, devoted fans voiced a clear wish for a tribute to a past favorite attraction, resulting in a blend of nostalgia and innovation. Busch Gardens Williamsburg honored that wish with The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge, adding a new twist to an iconic name from the park’s history.

As guests climb aboard, they will race through over 2,500 feet of track, reaching speeds up to 40 miles per hour. The coaster’s accessible design, requiring riders to be at least 42 inches tall with a companion, makes it an ideal thrill for families. Park President Kevin Lembke emphasized the ride’s blend of immersive storytelling and excitement, saying, “Guests will feel completely immersed in the story of the Bavarian village, as the sound of screams and the echo of a howling wolf creates chaos in the familiar town.”

Positioned in the Oktoberfest section, The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge is poised to become Busch Gardens’ eleventh roller coaster, adding to a robust lineup that caters to thrill-seekers and families alike.
