Roller Coaster Track Arrives At Kings Island

In a bustling offseason, Kings Island is gearing up for an enchanting transformation as it expands the Planet Snoopy kids’ area with the introduction of the all-new Camp Snoopy.

Among the exciting additions is the family-friendly roller coaster, Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers.

The park sent us the following video footage showcasing the delivery of the coaster’s track, shipped directly from the production facility in The Netherlands.

“Camp Snoopy is just what families visiting Kings Island have been looking for,” said Mike Koontz, vice president and general manager of Kings Island. “We’ve designed this new immersive area to feel like a day at camp where families can spend time with each other in a variety of ways, from the thrill of a new coaster to exploring and relaxing in the great outdoors with their favorite Peanuts characters.”

The introduction of the new roller coaster at Camp Snoopy comes with a renaming of several other rides: “Race For Your Life Charlie Brown” will transform into “Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride,” “Flying Ace Aerial Chase” will be known as “Woodstock’s Air Rail,” and “Woodstock Gliders” will adopt the name “Franklin’s Flyers.”

Foodies can be excited as an all new eatery “Pig Pens Mess Hall” is also being constructed in Camp Snoopy.

Kings Island stated in a press release that “construction on the project is progressing smoothly”.

With the park slated to open its gates in April, anticipation is building for the late spring unveiling of Camp Snoopy, promising an exhilarating season for park visitors.
