New Penguin Trek Roller Coaster Coming To SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando, known for being the ”coaster capital of Orlando”, is set to unveil a new attraction in Spring 2024 called “Penguin Trek,” which will be their eighth coaster.

This family-friendly launch coaster will take riders on an exciting journey through Antarctica as part of a penguin research mission.

With two thrilling launches, numerous twists and turns, and speeds reaching 43 mph along a 3,020-foot track indoors and outdoors, this coaster offers an unforgettable experience. However, what truly makes it extraordinary is its unique ending. Instead of a simulated penguin colony, riders end up in SeaWorld Orlando’s actual penguin habitat.

Once aboard, riders will embark on an unforgettable expedition on this one-of-a-kind immersive family launch coaster that catapults them through the Antarctic wilderness at speeds of up to 43 mph across a 3,020-foot track. As they step into the shoes of intrepid researchers, they’ll navigate in a unique snowmobile ride car across the icy expanse, narrowly escaping an ice cave’s clutches.

This family-friendly adventure intensifies as they burst onto an outdoor coaster track, featuring two exhilarating launches and a maze of twists and turns. The engineering and top-tier design of this family coaster are the work of Bolliger & Mabillard, well-known for their expertise in roller coaster engineering. SeaWorld Orlando already boasts five impressive coasters, including the recent hit “Pipeline: The Surf Coaster,” which opened to acclaim in May 2023. Penguin Trek is poised to match the park’s record for the most B&M coasters in a single location.
