Knott’s Berry Farm Planning 100th Anniversary Re-Opening in May
While Knott’s Berry Farm continues to offer special ticketed events at the park that do not include rides, the theme park is planning to officially re-open for its 100th anniversary season this May.

California officials recently eased COVID-19 restrictions for amusement parks, stating they could re-open starting April 1 — with guidelines in place that includes reduced capacity, mandatory masks, and other public health precautions.
Today, Jon Storbeck, Vice President & General Manager at Knott’s Berry Farm stated the park is looking forward to re-opening its gates.
“As we look forward to reopening our gates, we still have some work to do”. Jon said in a statement. “From hiring and training new associates to working with Government officials on finalizing guidelines, we will work hard to ensure that we can reopen our park safely for all to enjoy. Our plan is to welcome you back to Knott’s Berry Farm this May”.

While the theme park and Knott’s Soak City waterpark are temporarily closed, Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel, California Marketplace, and Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant are open. Knott’s is also currently hosting its “Taste of Boysenberry Festival” now through May 2. The special ticketed food event requires a tasting card for entry that must be purchased in advance. Season Passholders can save 10% on tasting cards. Below is a preview showing off some of the offerings.
This summer, the park plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary along with the debut of an all-new 4-D interactive dark ride, “Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair“.

“We are humbled by the astounding response we have received on our Tasting events” Jon continued by saying, “We can’t wait to celebrate 100 years of original family fun with you during our Knott’s Anniversary Celebration this summer. We especially look forward to creating new treasured memories as we once again open our gates and welcome our family back to the farm. We’ll see you all real soon!”

As announced earlier this year, season passes purchased prior to park opening will be valid for the remainder of 2021, plus a day-for-day extension in 2022 for the number of days the park was closed in 2021.
Knott’s originally closed on March 14, 2020, due to COVID-19. Other theme parks in California are making plans to re-open as well. Disneyland announced Tuesday that it plans to reopen by late April.
