Nigloland Unveils France’s First Water Coaster – Krampus Expedition

Over the last few months, there has been continuous construction at the back of Nigloland. Today, the park has revealed that in 2021 Nigloland will open France’s first water coaster, Krampus Expedition.

The ride, manufactured by MACK Rides, is an extended version of the Skatteøen model of their water coaster product. The ride will stand 91 feet tall, reach a top speed of 43.5 MPH, and pull 3.5 G’s on riders. Each 8 person boat will navigate the 1968 foot long coaster in four minutes, with the iconic drop sending riders shooting out of the mouth of the Krampus!

The coaster was unveiled by the park with this statement:

This year, Nigloland is bringing a forgotten legend of the Alps back to life with Krampus Expedition.

Explore the world of the high-mountain, wild rivers with canyons and incredible waterfalls on the journey towards this ride’s final destination: the cave that sheltered this mysterious beast. Explorers will have to show bravery when they come face to face with the primitive & wild Krampus monster.

The minimum height to ride is 43.3 in (1.1 m). Krampus Expedition is expected to open early in the 2021 season.
