6. Aquatica

If you are into top speed thrills or just want to relax visit Aquatica. Families can find something for everyone as they beat the summer heat. From water slides to sandy beaches everyone will be able to enjoy fun in the sun. Speaking of sun, starting this summer the soon-to-be completed elevated solar panel project that will generate 80 to 90 percent of the park’s annual energy use. The Aquatica Splash Pass allows visitors can enjoy the fun all summer long.

5. Great for the whole family

SeaWorld San Diego puts an emphasis on fun for the whole family. Debuting this May is a new Sesame Street Party Parade. Kids can see their favorite Sesame Street characters along with themed floats, fun tunes and two performances throughout the parade route! If you live in either San Diego or Orange County, you can get a SeaWorld Preschool Fun Card. 

4. Passholder events

Becoming a Pass Member gives you access to a lot of benefits from free parking, discounts and even exclusive events for a full year. This March, Pass Members get access to the Seven Seas festival early with a preview on March 15. Throughout the festival, Pass Members can get discounts on the Food and Drink Sampler Lanyards.

3. Special Events

Starting in March guests can indulge in the fourth annual Seven Seas Food Festival. Enjoy a variety of 55 food samples, 70 brews, a dozen wines and tons of music from San Diego’s music scene. Beginning in June SeaWorld will present Electric Ocean. Experience acrobatics, music, and neon lights in this thrilling nighttime spectacular.

2. Electric Eel

A brand new roller coaster is opening this summer! Electric Eel will open as the park’s fastest and tallest ride reaching 150 feet and including a 60 mph triple launch. The ride will be a Premier Rides Sky Rocket II model, the second for the chain (the first is Tempesto and can be found at Busch Gardens Williamsburg). As you might have guessed, the ride is themed to electric eels including an electric eel habitat. If you can’t wait to ride, you can take a virtual ride below!
